Diablo 3 ~ Top 10 Frequently Asked Questions About Diablo 3 Release

Top 10 Questions About The Diablo 3 Release

Well it seems like it's here at long last.  It's been a long ten years, more than once it didn't materialize as expected.  Testing and beta ran a full eight months.  But it's only a month away as of this writing.  Yes Diablo 3 is here.

Now I know you want to get to "work" demolishing some demons and skeletons with your favorite weapon of choice in Sanctum.  I thought there were some things you should know before you take advantage of all of Blizzard's many years of hard work.

Below are the Top 10 Questions Asked about Diablo 3

Diablo 3 Barbarian

1.  It Can Cost You Real Money

Question #1  I've heard rumors from people who played in beta that all the really good stuff you need to succeed in the game costs real money.  Is that true?

Answer ~ Yes, the rumors are true, there
is an auction house in Diablo 3 that uses real money.  You'll be able to buy all the most sought after items with real cash.  Not to worry though, you will still be able to buy from the gold auction house it will just require an investment of your time.

2.  All The Classes Are New

Question #2  Are all the classes new.  I heard Blizzard started over fresh and there are none of the old classes in Diablo 3.  I really liked the Barbarian from Diablo 2.  So...no Barbarian in 3?

Answer ~ Blizzard did almost start over but you'll be glad to know that the Barbarian is back and the Witch Doctor is very much like the Necromancer.  Any of the characters will get you through Act 1 in less than two hours so you can do your testing quickly and decide which class you want to play.

3.  We're Going Back to Town

Question #3  Will the town still be a major center of activity like in other Diablos?

Answer ~ Yes.  You can find the Blacksmith or the Jeweler there and have your armor and weapons upgraded or augment your gems and your specs.

4.  Length Of Game

Question #4  How long will the game be?  I've heard you can play through in hours.

Answer ~ The beta was about 90 minutes, most people think the game will only take 8 or 10 hours to finish.  We still don’t know for sure.  Blizzard has said that Diablo 3 is way longer than that.  The beta only covers part of the first Act and there are so many other things to do besides taking on bosses.  Some parts have been taken out to get the game released. PvP will be a future patch.

5.  New Skill Builds

Question #5  Is every skill in Diablo 3 now available at any level?

Answer ~ Yes.  Skill builds will have 6 active skills still - chose at levels one, two, four, nine, fourteen and nineteen.  These skills can be chosen from 1 of 6 groups and separated into the mouse and action bar.  Then choose one of 5 runes for each skill, creating a total of over one hundred skills per class.  Passive skills are available at levels ten, twenty and thirty.  They haven’t changed much.

6.  Followers

Question #6  Is there a follower system?

Answer ~ Yes.  There still are 3 followers to pick from - Templar, Scoundrel & Enchantress.  Each of these followers have 4 skill slots and 2 options for each, this gives you a few possible combinations as you go up the levels.  The main function of followers is to protect you from damage and tank in ranged fighting.

7.  Hardcore Mode

Question #7  Will the Hardcore mode be active on launch day?

Answer ~ Yes.  Hardcore mode returns in Diablo 3 including interesting modifications.  The biggest difference between hardcore and normal mode is; you can't access the real money auction in hardcore, you must manually get or pay gold for the things you want.

8.  Difficulty Modes

Question #8  Is there a new difficulty level besides hell, nightmare or normal?

Answer ~ Yes, the 4th difficulty level is Inferno.  Every difficulty level corresponds to levels on your way to Level 60 - the current level cap.

9.  Normal or Collector’s Edition?

Question #9  Is it worth the extra $40 for the Collector’s Edition?

Answer ~ That depends on how good the bonuses in the collectors edition look to you:
• Diablo Skull and 4GB USB - • WoW Pet - Fetish Shaman - • Starcraft II Portraits - • Aesthetic Artifacts - • Soundtrack - • Behind the Scenes DVD.  If you signed-up for the WOW yearly pass at Blizzcon, you get a free digital copy of Diablo 3.

10.  Diablo 3 Surprises

Question #10  Are we in for any surprises with Diablo 3?

Answer ~   There will surely be a bunch of surprises and cool developments for you when the game drops on 5-15-2012.  In the near future, you can expect updates that include plenty of new stuff to keep RMAH users content, the delayed Player vs Player elements that were taken out to get the game released and coming expansions that take Diablo 3 over its level cap of sixty.

It's not far off now.  Diablo 3 Is really almost live.

I am definitely going to be playing the RMAH when it comes out. I also have my own website, Murphisk Gold Guide, which will help you take advantage of the RMAH (Real money auction house), and the gold auction house to make gold. http://murphiskgoldguide.com
