The Secret World Guide ~ The Secret World Magic DPS Options

Nothing says raw damage power in a Massive Multiplayer Online Game more than the mage class. In the Secret World there are three different magic specializations and each of them offers a high level of damage that would make you a useful part of any group. The different specializations also come with additional utility spells that make certain specialties more
useful at times than others. Learn about each of the different damage dealing abilities you will get in the magic specializations and decide which one is going to be the most enjoyable for you.

Elementalism

If you want to do the most pure damage that you possible can Elementalism is the best option for you. The specialization doesn’t really focus on anything other than dealing as much damage as you can. It doesn’t come with many support abilities, and it isn’t good at anything other than dishing out the pain, but that is why so many players enjoy it. Many of the abilities are long cast time burst spells that do huge amounts of damage while harnessing the forces of fire and water to devastate your enemies.

Chaos

The Secret World Guide With Chaos magic you lose the ability to generate huge amounts of raw damage, but you gain many support abilities that will help you manage groups of enemies more efficiently. Not only do you have several different AOE attacks at your disposal but many of those area of effect attacks impair the enemies that they are hitting which could help keep the group alive at a crucial moment in a heated group battle. Chaos also comes with some interesting abilities to boost your defense and help you stay alive longer which makes it useful for soloing.

Blood Magic

Blood magic is probably the slowest DPS magic class but it has a high rate of survivability thanks to access to heals and shields. Most of your active spells are going to deal damage over time which means that you can kill several enemies at once effectively, or kill enemies while running around easily. If you start to get killed by one of your enemies you should have at least one ability that will either heal you, put a barrier on you to absorb the damage, or do both. Blood magic damage dealers are highly efficient and they can be very useful in a tight situations by keeping key members of your group alive with their powerful barriers.

Have Fun!
