Mists of Pandaria Gives Blizzard a Chance to Show Off All of Their Hard Work

Mists of Pandaria

Blizzard Entertainment
With every expansion that Blizzard has released for its megastar MMO World of Warcraft, there has always been plenty of new terrain for its 11 million players to explore and Mists of Pandaria is no exception.  In fact there are at least five new full zones for you to enjoy and as anyone who has access to closed beta can tell you, they are full of quests with more to come.  While we still do not have a release
date, this is good indication that things are moving in that direction quite smoothly.

Jade Forest
The Jade Forest is the home of the Jade Serpent Yu'Lon and is the first zone you are going to see as a level 85 when the expansion goes live.  Just like in Wrath, Alliance players and Hordies will start in their own separate areas as a way to keep traffic under control.  No matter which faction you are a part of, you are going to have to recruit local help if you want to survive.

In the Valley of Four Winds you will be in the farmlands of Pandaria where you will be given your own farm and you will have a chance to become a Tiller, growing your own food, cooking items, herbal nodes and more.  You will also run across the Brewmastesrs who will keep you busy earning rewards and rep . On a light hearted note you are going to meet the new Beer Elementals who are called what else but "Alementals".

The Krasarang Wilds are a lot like the mangroves in Sholazar Basin but on steroids, you will find darker forests and a series of islands where you will meet the Mogu and their many races.  What started out as a mini-zone is now one of the bigger zones as the developers decided that the area needed a life of its own.

In the Kun-Lai Summit zone lays the Shado-Pan Monastery, home to the most elite warriors in all of Pandaria.  It is also one of the main quest hubs and a dungeon.  The cool part of this area is that as you work your way through it, you can earn the status of being a Shado-Pan warrior and some very awesome looking armor to go with your new status.

Vale of Eternal Blossoms
The level 90 zone is the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.  This is the heart of Pandaria, where you will take part in a daily battle to keep the Vale safe from its attackers.  You start with small tasks and work your way up to the front lines before it is all over.

These are the only five zones that are currently complete or near complete and playable.  There are others that are still under construction such as the Townlong Steppes and the Dread Wastes but little is known about them at the moment.
