DIABLO 3 INFERNO 7 TIPS TO SURVIVE INFERNO MODE

7 Best Inferno Mode Tips

Diablo 3 Inferno Monster
Tip #1 - Focus On Damage Mitigation

The monsters in Act 1 of Inferno hit much harder than those in Act 4 of Hell. Act 2 mobs are even nastier. Be sure that you are gearing your character
with items that add + resistances and vitality. The amounts of each vary based on your class, but here are some general rules:

Melee Classes  - Focus on acquiring somewhere between 700-1000 resist upon entering Inferno with 15-20k health. You're going to constantly be in the fray and damage can be quite spikey. Everything you can do to help outlast your enemy will make your life easier.

Ranged Classes - While you should certainly make sure you have
a decent amount of + resist (~500), you can focus a bit more on stacking vitality and your primary stat (dexterity for Demon Hunters and intelligence for Wizards and Witch Doctors). If you have a playstyle that allows you to maintain a bit of distance and successfully kite your enemies, you can be a little more lax on the resists. Just don't get hit!

Tip #2 - Use Your Defensive Abilities

While Normal, Nightmare and Hell allowed players to primarily focus on outputting as much damage as humanly possible, Inferno mode requires a bit more caution. While high damage output is certainly important, you will need to ensure that you are choosing a build that offers some defensive capabilities and if possible, the ever-useful "Oh $@#! Button".

Whichever class you've chosen, be sure that you've given yourself a variety of ways to not only win the fight but also to control it. That means, healing ablities, crowd control, avoidance, bubbles/shields, etc. You're going to need them all.

Tip #3 - Bottlenecks Are Your Friends

When engaging large packs of enemies, whenever possible it is very helpful to draw them into an area where they end up cramped and unable to surround you. Narrow hallways and bridges are always good locations. Remember the movie 300 when the Spartans led the Persians into the narrow pass and immediately gained a strategic advantage? Do that.

Tip #4 - Followers Ease The Burdon

Don't forget about your follower. Take the little extra time to make sure you've given them halfway decent gear in the few slots that you have control over and choose their most defensive abilities. Any time you can get a follower to taunt, slow, immobilize or otherwise keep an enemy from pounding on you is a good thing.

Tip #5 - Browse The Auction House

If you've got a decent amount of gold, the easiest way to make sure you've got good gear for Inferno Mode is to buy it on the AH. Spend a little extra time farming gold or selling gear on the AH if you need some extra cash, then treat yourself to a shopping spree. With all of the possible combinations of affixes on gear, it's a real crap shoot that you'll get the gear you need solely from drops. Remove chance from the equation and just buy as much of it as you can. It will make your life a lot easier.

Tip #6 - Farm With The Nephalem Buff

When farming for either gear or gold to prepare yourself for Inferno, try to make use of the Nephalem Valor Buff.

For those who don't know, you acquire the Nephalem Valor buff by killing Rare or Champion mobs after you've hit level 60. The buff increases your magic and gold find until you change a skill or leave the game.

Because a single stack of this buff will increase your magic find and gold find by 15% and you can stack it up to 5x, you have the potential for an additional 75% magic/gold find. You can use this buff in Inferno Mode, or the earlier difficulties, to more effectively farm gear upgrades and/or gold to prepare yourself for Inferno.

Tip #7 - Use Health Globes Wisely

Just because a health globe is on the ground doesn't mean you need to pick it up, especially if you're already at full health. If you're engaging a group of enemies or a rare, champion, or boss mob and there are spare health globes lying around, great! Leave them there until you need them.

Obviously sometimes it's unavoidable that you'll pick up a few while you're darting around during the fight but whenever possible, it's wise to leave them be until you're in need of a health refill. Seems obvious, but I see people wasting health globes constantly and it only makes things harder than necessary.
